Can I turn off only one type of notification from an iPhone app?
Sometimes. iPhone lets you control where an app's alerts appear and whether it plays sounds or shows badges. Separately switching off specific categories of alerts depends on whether the app supports notification customization.
What to do
- Open Settings > Notifications.
- Select the app.
- Review Allow Notifications, alert locations, Sounds and Badges.
- If available, open Customize Notifications or the app's own notification settings to choose categories.
