Will game saves and purchases survive switching between iPhone and Android?
Game progress does not automatically move between iPhone and Android just because you install the same game. Some games support cross-platform accounts that can restore progress, while others save through Apple Game Center, iCloud, Google Play Games, or a developer-specific system. In-app purchases and currencies may follow separate rules from save files.
What to do
- Before switching, open each important game and find Account, Cloud Save, or Link Account in its settings.
- Check the game's official support site for iOS-to-Android transfer and purchase rules; do not assume Game Center or Google Play alone bridges platforms.
- If the game supports a publisher account, confirm which existing account contains the progress you want to keep.
- Follow the developer's account-linking instructions and verify your progress on the new phone.
- Check purchased items and currencies separately, and keep the old device until you have confirmed everything you need.

Cross-platform sync is title-specific. For example, supported Epic Games titles can use a linked Epic Games account, but some purchases or currency balances have separate restrictions.
